Pipe Jacking

Pipe Jacking

Joseph Gallagher Middle East are one of the Gulfs’ leading contractors for pipe jacking and have installed pipes across the Middle East from Kuwait to Oman.

We work to internationally recognised standards when installing pipes using the pipejacking method. As part of the Joseph Gallagher Group we are leading members of the UK Pipe Jacking Association and the British Tunnelling Society and adhere to the high standards and best practices developed by these established bodies. Membership to these professional bodies means our engineers have a full understanding of the engineering principles of pipejacking.

Choosing the right engineered solution.

Ground conditions are essential in making sure that correct pipe jacking set-up is used to install the pipe, if the ground permits. Our engineers can assist you from using hand shields, sand tables, cutter booms or mechanical back hoe excavators to ensure our project succeeds.

Joseph Gallagher Middle East can install pipe from 1200 mm (internal diameter) up to 3000 mm depending on the ground conditions and in lengths ranging from just a few meters to kilometres.

We can install pipes from GRP to reinforced concrete that provide a flexible and watertight pipeline using different pipe jacking excavation methods. The pipe string is installed using powerful hydraulic jacks which is steered by the shield at the front of the string.

The advantages of the trenchless installation using pipe jacking over traditional open cut or trenching methods are many including; less surface disruption, less muck away, environmental friendly way of installing pipe, smaller footprint.
